At Sigma Hospital we have a dedicated team of 3 Consultant Anaesthesiologists and 5 Anaesthesia Technicians. We are committed to providing quality and safe Anaesthesia care to the patients along with imparting knowledge and skills of Anaesthesia, critical care and pain management to nursing staff in OT and post-opward. Operating Room efficiency is reflected by on time start of OT, Recovery time, patients satisfaction, clinical outcomes, along with patients, surgeons and surgical staff satisfaction.
The Department of Anaesthesia at Sigma Hospital provides Anaesthesia services to General Surgeries, Laproscopic Surgeries, Endoscopic Surgeries including ERCP and endourology Surgeries, OBG, Orthopedic, SpineSurgeries, ENT and superspeciality Surgeries like Urology, Neurological emergencies, plastic Surgeries,Pediatric Surgeries Gastro, Onco and Renal Transplant.
At our Department, Pre Anaesthetic Evaluation (PAE) is mandatory for all the patients in order to assess and stratify patients according to comorbidities, functional capacity of the patient and type of surgery which helps us to decide on which modality of Anaesthesia is suitable for each patient. PAE also helps in alleviating anxiety of the patient related to procedure.
