He completed his MBBS from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore. While pursuing post-graduation in General Surgery he secured the first rank from University of Mysore. After completing his training in Urology and Transplant from Apollo Hospital Chennai, he has pioneered Renal Transplantation in this region by doing the first surgery at JSS Hospital, Mysore in 1993. Since then, he has performed over 400 transplantations. As former Professor and Head of Dept. of Urology at JSS Hospital, he has trained several aspiring Urologists. With Sigma team, he introduced extra corporeal lithotripsy to Mysore in 2000. With 28 years of experience, he is known for his precision and speed in Endorological, Laproscopic and open Urology surgeries. He leads the Department of Urology and is the Director of Nephro Urology unit of Sigma Hospital.
