She completed her MBBS from DR B R Ambedkar Medical College. Joined department of Anesthesiology at Mahadevappa Rampurer Medical College for Diploma in Anesthesia. Worked as registrar in department of Anesthesia and Intensive care unit at Columbia Asia, Narayana Hrudayala and Apollo hospitals Mysore. She then pursued DNB anesthesia from Fortis hospital Bangalore.
